I wish I could rate this hotel much higher than a 10. The staff were more like friends and went out of their way to recommend fun adventures for our family and even gave excellent directions. They were also in contact with the shops and restaurants nearby which made our stay even more unforgettable. At one point, we walked across the street to purchase a bottle of wine from a neighboring shop called Cuku (which we highly recommend as well) and, since we didn't have a bottle opener, the owner of the shop called the Bellhaven who had glasses and a bottle opener waiting for us upon our return. This was, on all accounts the most wonderful place our family has ever stayed. I can go on and on about the wonderful people, location, breakfast, style, etc. but, to keep it short, we will never stay anywhere else in Glasgow as long as there is a light on for us at Belhaven.

Family room was a very good size. Double and two singles plus sofas, table and chairs and side desk. Room faced the main road, so traffic noise audible. However, we fully expected that given the location. Breakfast was excellent. Freshly cooked. Staff very friendly and helpfully. Hotel itself located not too far from some of the major Glasgow attractions. If driving, be prepared to pay for road parking 8am to 6pm (Ringo app). There is also a 3 hour stay limit during the day.

The hotel still had its original Victotrian fittings including the Minton floor tiles, gold embelished cornices, cast iron stair railings and a naturally lit staircase from the grand glass roof. The staff were so friendly snd helpful. The location was only a short walk from the botanic gardens which is a must see attraction. The bed was beautiful and comfortable and the room provided exactly what I needed including an excellent shower.

Old Victorian building, well maintained, with a decent sized room but a double bed which might not suit those who prefer a king-size. Parking free 6pm to 8 am. The hotel is in a leafy side road. On other side of Great Western Road in Kirklee road is free daytime parking, perhaps not to the delight of residents. All staff friendly, with Anouska outstanding in her work at breakfast time. Excellent hot and cold food.

Alexander

Room was large enough to perhaps have a comfortable couch for two instead of 'ottoman'. Breakfast choice of simple cereal and/or toast or a cooked breakfast from a good selection was very nice. The two Polish girls we met for reception and 'waiting' were very friendly and accommodating. Location for city centre was excellent. Easy bus ride or walk.
